GEER members represent a wide range of disciplines within the engineering and scientific community, with backgrounds in academia, industry, government organizations, and non-profit organizations. Although GEER’s focus is on geotechnical extreme events, we recognize the multidisciplinary nature of these events and welcome members from other natural science, engineering and social science disciplines. GEER is a global organization, and our reconnaissance efforts are made possible through close collaboration with local communities affected by disasters, and with GEER members who have connections to those communities.

All GEER members volunteer their time and efforts, including the members of the Steering Committee and Advisory Panel.
